CANTADORAS Y TEJEDORAS DE PAZ DE COLOMBIA EN EUROPA 🇨🇴

Este noviembre recibiremos en Europa a maestras y portadoras de importantes tradiciones culturales del Caribe colombiano. Un proyecto de circulación, formación y mediación cultural alrededor del bullerengue y el tejido de Mampuján, como prácticas vivas de memoria, identidad, resistencia y construcción de paz.

🎤 Conciertos:

KANDALEKO: Colectivo musical con sede en Berna, dedicado a la cumbia colombiana. Esta música tradicional se interpreta con flautas «gaita» y tambores típicos, y se acompaña de canto y baile. El colectivo está integrado por músicos profesionales de origen suizo y colombiano, unidos por su interés común en la exploración, preservación y transmisión de esta tradición musical.

HEREDERAS DE PETRONA MARTÍNEZ: Nilda y Araceli Llerena Martínez, herederas directas de la maestra Petrona Martínez (ganadora de Latin Grammy), continúan la tradición del bullerengue desde una práctica viva de canto, memoria y transmisión oral. Como cantadoras formadas en el entorno familiar y comunitario, han participado en procesos de circulación nacional e internacional, llevando el bullerengue a nuevos escenarios sin desvincularlo de su raíz territorial.

COLOMBIAN SINGERS AND WEAVERS OF PEACE IN EUROPE 🇨🇴

This November, we welcome to Europe master artists and bearers of important cultural traditions from the Colombian Caribbean. This is a project focused on cultural exchange, training, and mediation centered on *bullerengue* and the weaving traditions of Mampuján—living practices of memory, identity, resistance, and peacebuilding.

🎤 Concerts:

KANDALEKO: A Bern-based musical collective dedicated to Colombian *cumbia*. This traditional music is performed using *gaita* flutes and traditional drums, accompanied by vocals and dance. The collective comprises professional musicians of Swiss and Colombian origin, united by a shared interest in exploring, preserving, and passing on this musical tradition.

HEREDERAS DE PETRONA MARTÍNEZ (Heirs of Petrona Martínez): Nilda and Araceli Llerena Martínez—direct heirs of the master artist Petrona Martínez (a Latin Grammy winner)—carry on the *bullerengue* tradition through a living practice of singing, memory, and oral transmission. As singers trained within their family and community, they have participated in national and international tours, bringing *bullerengue* to new stages without ever severing its connection to its territorial roots.

SÄNGERINNEN UND WEBERINNEN DES FRIEDENS AUS KOLUMBIEN IN EUROPA 🇨🇴

Diesen November empfangen wir in Europa Meisterinnen und Bewahrerinnen bedeutender kultureller Traditionen aus der kolumbianischen Karibikregion. Es handelt sich um ein Projekt für Kulturaustausch, Weiterbildung und Kulturvermittlung rund um den *Bullerengue* und die Webkunst von Mampuján – gelebte Praktiken von Erinnerung, Identität, Widerstand und Friedensarbeit.

🎤 Konzerte:

KANDALEKO: Ein in Bern ansässiges Musikerkollektiv, das sich der kolumbianischen Cumbia widmet. Diese traditionelle Musik wird mit „Gaita“-Flöten und typischen Trommeln gespielt sowie von Gesang und Tanz begleitet. Das Kollektiv besteht aus professionellen Musikern schweizerischer und kolumbianischer Herkunft, die das gemeinsame Interesse an der Erforschung, Bewahrung und Weitergabe dieser Musiktradition verbindet.

HEREDERAS DE PETRONA MARTÍNEZ: Nilda und Araceli Llerena Martínez, die direkten Nachfolgerinnen der Meisterin Petrona Martínez (Gewinnerin eines Latin Grammy), führen die Tradition des *Bullerengue* fort – als eine lebendige Praxis von Gesang, Erinnerung und mündlicher Überlieferung. Als Sängerinnen, die im familiären und gemeinschaftlichen Umfeld ausgebildet wurden, haben sie an nationalen und internationalen Austauschprojekten teilgenommen und den *Bullerengue* auf neue Bühnen gebracht, ohne ihn dabei von seinen regionalen Wurzeln zu lösen.
