Nova Jazz Festival: Mareille Merck – LARUS + Club Plaisir

Mareille Merck ist eine deutsche Jazzgitarristin und Komponistin mit Wohnsitz in Zürich, Schweiz. Sie ist bekannt für ihre innovativen Soloauftritte und als Leiterin des Trios "Mareille Merck LARUS", wobei sie Fingerstyle-Techniken mit Jazz- und Rockeinflüssen verbindet.

Founded in 2018 by keyboardist Rémy Rufer, guitarist Emilio Vidal, bassist Matthieu Kummer and drummer Colas Vuilleumier, the band experimented for almost two years to develop original music with disco tinges. Percussionist Lucien Matthey joined the band in 2020 for their first studio recording. Following the release of their first self-produced EP, "Hyperastral", the band toured in differents parts of europe. Concerts follow one another, audiences dance, and the band continues to compose new material. In 2022, the band went into the studio to record the soundtrack for Maxence Tasserit's film "La Maison Imaginaire". They took the opportunity to record a few more tracks. The operation was repeated last year, resulting in eight tracks ready for their new project: "Planète Vacances".
