Basswerk is all about the culture behind bass-heavy music. There is not one specific sound that defines us. We want to show the variety that grew from the roots of this music.
And what better place is there to start than at those very roots, that helped define every corner of this wide domain, that we call bass music. A much anticipated debut b2b, featuring two prodigy DJs of two very different ends of the musical spectrum. While Sokka has made a name for himself in the world of Bounce, Groove and Techno, through his fun, diverse, funky and extremely creative selection and mixing style, Plyometrics has managed to become a household name within the Swiss Drum'n'Bass scene. Brought together by the hottest photographer in town, as well as a shared love for UK Dubstep. Get ready for Sokka b2b Plyometrics, opening the night with delicious wubs and heavy breaks.
Kumozo has spun his own network in the bass music scene, not just in Switzerland but with various other international artists as well. After pulling inspiration from different sources he gets back on atage. Kumozo will showcase his new style and new flow to the Crowd! Be prepared for some heavy and melodic basses with a little surprise!
GA$ B2B FINGER GUNS is an act that’s no stranger to BASSWERK. These two buddies left Sissach in ashes, and they’re ready to do the same to Oerlikon. The boys from Razzle Dazzle Records® have been cooking up some seriously heavy stuff, and they can’t wait to serve it to you on December 19th. Get ready for absolute destruction.
"overwhelmingly heavy and noisy with lots of pattern variations" This is how VIRIDUS describes his own music. His enthusiasm and engagement for this music enabled him to be on the same line up as Nimda and headlining a function in France. When talking Swiss Dubstep this is a name that should not be left out.
Finishing up the evening with a bang; EinMalik has just started his DJ career and will be seen a few more times tearing down Spotbar on Sundays before playing at BASSWERK. He is going to play a set, that goes through some of the most important genres of bass music taking inspiration from different eras. This set will be completely different from what you're used to.
